Fivetran completed its previously announced (October 13, 2025) all-stock merger with dbt Labs on June 1, 2026. Combined company operates initially as 'Fivetran + dbt Labs', serving 100,000+ data teams; George Fraser continues as CEO, Tristan Handy as President. Same-day product announcements included open-sourcing the dbt Fusion engine runtime under Apache 2.0 as part of dbt Core v2.0 (alpha).
