Point of Sale (POS)

In-store transaction terminals. Typically batch-updated (Inter-session or slower) which creates latency-mismatch challenges with web/mobile activations expecting Inter-page freshness.

Point of Sale (POS)

In-store transaction terminals — registers, kiosks, mobile POS. Updates from upstream marketing systems are typically batched at Inter-session (5–30 minute) tier or slower.

The architectural challenge. Latency mismatch with web/mobile (use-case.coupon-mobile-pos-sync). When the same activation must surface in both the user's mobile app immediately and at the in-store register, the architecture must explicitly resolve the freshness gap.
